Mitigate Procurement

Roles and permissions

What Member, Admin, and Owner can do in your organization.

In Mitigate every team member is one of three roles: Member, Admin, or Owner. This page shows what each role can and cannot do.

Your current role is shown on your account page under "Your role".

The three roles

  • Member - the default role for everyone in your team. Can use all of Mitigate's analysis and research features and see everything in the organization. Cannot change shared settings or spend the organization's credits.
  • Admin - a trusted team lead. Can do everything a Member can, plus change shared settings and buy credits.
  • Owner - the person responsible for the organization. Same access as an Admin, plus the ability to transfer ownership or delete the organization. Normally one per organization.

Team and role changes

Team management is handled by Mitigate support today — there is no self-service UI yet. Email info@mitigate.dev when you need to:

  • add a new teammate (include their email and the role you want them to have),
  • change an existing member's role,
  • remove a member from the organization,
  • transfer the Owner role to someone else (the Owner does this if, for example, their position in the company changes),
  • assign Owner when the previous Owner has left the company (email us from a company email so we can verify the request).

Changes take effect immediately — the affected user sees the new role the next time they sign in.
